This week, "How-To" co-producer Eric Wyeth takes you behind-the-scenes to show you How-To use a green screen for special effects. He demonstrates with [more...] his soon-to-be released short film, Icarus. What you will need: *A green back-drop, either homemade or purchased. *Five video lights; two floods (for the screen), one key light (to create highlights on your actor's face), one fill light (to fill in the dark areas of your actor's face), and one backlight (to create depth of separation for your actor from the background. *A computer and software capable of video compositing. *Video color-correction software. *Video editing software and/or hardware. *A lot of spare time and patience!

In this day of record gas prices, I share my tips to get the most out of that gallon of gas. Join me as I revisit How-To check your tire pressure, and [more...] show you How-To use a new gadget that should be in every How-To Girl's car care road kit, a portable tire pump. I also want to teach you How-To change worn windshield wipers. I have a confession to make -- I'm a lead foot! But I've learned that can cost a lot of gas, and I've taught myself to drive slower. Hey! If I can do it, so can you! Finally, there's one more really cheap and easy way to save gas! That's changing an old air filter! It's not as hard as it sounds! Since every car us different, I give you a simple and fast overview of the basics. With all the money I'm saving on gas, I think I'll have a picnic -- Next week on How-To!
