Our national defense hinges on detecting, locating, tracking, and targeting the enemy. Imagery Analysts play an integral part in providing Army personnel with critical information about enemy forces, potential battle areas, and combat operations support. Imagery Analysts use overhead and aerial imagery, geospatial data, full motion video, and other electronic monitoring in order to collect and analyze information required to design defense plans, support combat operations, and disaster relief. Eyes on the World! The Imagery Analyst is primarily responsible for supervising and analyzing overhead and aerial imagery developed by photographic and electronic means. Some of your duties as an Imagery Analyst may include: - Producing intelligence by analyzing and exploiting imagery to include visible, infrared, radar, and full motion video - Producing intelligence by analyzing and exploiting both fixed and moving target indicators and geospatial data - Identifying cognventional and unconventional military installations, facilities, weapon systems, orders of battle, military equipment and defenses - Identifying lines of communication and industrial facilities - Determining precise location and dimensions of objects - Conducting Battle Damage Assessment - Preparing imagery analysis reports - Producing Geospatial-Intelligence and Advanced Geospatial-Intelligence

A Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Automated Tactical Data Systems Specialist is an important part of the Army's combat team. MLRS teams are used to support infantry and tank units while supplementing cannon artillery in combat, but they also have responsibilities during peacetime. The MLRS launches various missiles and ammunitions in quick strikes during combat. The MLRS Automated Tactical Data Systems Specialist records and transmits the firing data for the MLRS. Army operations aren't strictly limited to land. Ocean going harbor craft are often used to support operations throughout the continental United States and overseas. It's up to members of the Army watercraft team to navigate, pilot, and maintain these watercraft. Army watercraft Soldiers have unique opportunities to embark upon specialized landing craft, gain valuable skills in vessel navigation, or be part of a tug boat crew, moving needed equipment on barges in local harbors or on longer open ocean voyages. Watercraft operators are part of a piloting team using electronic positioning systems, handheld navigation tools, and traditional watch standing procedures aboard many of the Army's watercraft. Watercraft Operators are primarily responsible for navigation, cargo operations and supervising other Soldiers on Army watercraft. Some of your duties as a Watercraft Operator may include: - Docking and undocking the vessels - Dropping and weighing the vessel anchor - Standing lookout and helm watches - Identifying and interpreting single-letter international code signal flags - Sending and receiving messages with radios, beacons and signal flags - Operating and maintaining lifeboats and vessel firefighting equipment - Demonstrating knowledge in all aspects of marlinespike seamans - Securing all type of cargo using shipboard machinery such as capstans, winches, hoists and davits - Painting metal, wood, and fiberglass surfaces - Cleaning compartments and decks. - -
